Oktoberfest in other cities

Many liters of beer, food for all the likes, music and fun for all the people.
October is the month of beer. Not only because Germany is preparing for a new edition of its Oktoberfest, but because many countries are dedicated to organize its beer festivals.
Around the world, in regions that were populated mainly by German immigrants, the festival has been incorporated to the social events, in many cities in many countries; it is an opportunity to celebrate the German culture. The annual event usually lasts a week and also has the objective to stimulate the community dynamics and trade.

In Santiago, Chile, the Oktoberfest is celebrated in the town of Malloco, near Santiago, between the last weekend of October and the first week of November. Also in the city of Valdivia is celebrated the last weekend of January the “Bierfest Kunstmann”, party where beer and German food is sold and a carnival is celebrated for four days.

In Brazil, the city of Blumenau attracts many tourists and it is the best Oktoberfest outside of Germany.

In Argentina, the local edition of the Oktoberfest is celebrated in villa General Belgrano and it is known as the National Beer Festival.

In Belgium, the city of Liege attracts many visitors, particularly Spanish, to enjoy the German party.

In Ecuador, in the city of Quito, the Oktoberfest is celebrated with great success during the last week of September and the first week of October.


In Lima, Peru, is celebrated the Oktoberfest with great success since 2002 during the second week of October.


In the city of Mexico Oktoberfest is celebrated since the year 1971 during the month of October through the German Club of Mexico. It is also held in other Mexican cities such as Puebla de Zaragoza, Cuernavaca and Mazatlan.

In Venezuela, specifically in the Colonia Tovar, is celebrated annually in October the traditional Germanic festival known as Oktoberfest. Sometimes groups from Germany have been invited to play traditional music.

On The occasion of the Fiestas del Pilar in Zaragoza is celebrated the Oktoberfest that a famous brand of Bavarian beer sponsors, in addition of the traditional Bavarian food, it can enjoy good German folk music.

The Oktoberfest in Calpe (Alicante) is the oldest and biggest beer festival in Spain. It has been held since 1988.
